Foraging with Spirit of the Hedgerider

The activity of finding, gathering and harvesting wild resources – for free! Discover and learn about the amazing abundance of natural riches that thrive in our native Welsh hedgerows. Foraging is a great way to stay active, spending time outdoors connecting with nature and learning all about where our natural foods and medicines come from.

Charcoal Drawing

Join artist Kallum Hopkins for a 2-hour charcoal drawing session in the forest. Learn expressive techniques, get your hands dirty (in a good way), explore mark-making, texture and tone using natural surroundings as inspiration. All materials provided.

Wooden Sword Making

Make your own wooden sword, from natural materials we forage from the woodland, use handtools and practice knots, take your very own wooden sword home.

Forest Soap Spray Painting

Ever tried spray painting in a forest? Join street artist Darrel Soap Spray for a 2-hour graffiti workshop where nature meets street style — come and get creative with spray paint under the trees. Learn the basics, make your mark, in this hands-on workshop.

Twirly hoops is back! Pop down to the lawn by the lake on Saturday  to learn some hoop tricks and play around with a giant slinky. Free for all, any age can join in (no one’s too old to hula hoop!) You can also have a go at making and decorating your very own hula hoop! Please book in advance as places and materials  are limited.

Join Faerie Victoria and Faerie Naomi on Saturday or Sunday for a fairy wing making workshop. Over a 2 hour session create the wings of your inner woodland creature using natural and recycled materials! This workshop needs to be booked in advance and will cost £10 to cover the costs of materials. Please see button below for booking.

Bubbles will be back again in the afternoon, free for all to join in the fun! Giant bubble entertainment and interactive fun with 'get inside a bubble'. Join us and have a go with our enormous bubbles! And when you've had enough of being on the outside... climb inside one!

Facepainting for kids of all ages! Facepaint is allegen tested and comes adorned with crystals and bio glitter. There will be a small charge to cover materials, no need to book in advance.

Bio glitter is made from eucalyptus and we will also have pots for people to take away. There will be a small charge to cover materials, no need to book in advance.

Our henna is natural and organic! Safe for children and pregnant people! There will be a small charge to cover materials, no need to book in advance.

Hair braiding to be done on your own hair but extentions and hair feathers are available! There will be a small charge to cover materials, no need to book in advance.

Arts & crafts for those little learning fingers and bursting creatives! Come and make some festival wear and strut your stuff on the catwalk! All materials vegan and sustainable/earth friendly. Free for all to join.

There's a rave on.. and it's just for kids (and maybe a mum and dad or two)! Come and join the fun, it's free to join :)

Free morning yoga sessions for kids of all ages! Time to stretch and breath and maybe even laugh! You don't need to be a yoga master for this one, enjoy mimicking animals and watching our breath!

Want a memento snapshot of your time at Tonnau? We'll be around taking snaps of all your fabulous festi outfits. Polaroids don't print automatically so we will strive to get that perfect shot! There is a small charge to cover costs and digital versions will be shared with the festival).

Drop into the Circus Workshop and learn some new circus skills! Fun for all ages and abilities, free for all and no need to book.

Come and paint your own stone tablet in whatever style you fancy. All materials provided.

Join us on Sunday with your new wings in flight for a faerie foraging procession. We will make offerings to the spirits of the forest using our foraged herbs and flowers, gathering new knowledge and making new friends.

Catch the stilt walking displays at points over the weekend.

Our Quiet Tent is open for anyone with little people who'd like a little bit of peace and quiet or some privacy away from the bustle of the festival.

Suitable for older children, professional  instructor Frankie will be holding Arial Workshops throughout the weekend. They're free for all but there may be age and ability restrictions. Frankie will holding free drop in classes in the woods, shall come and say hello!
